Scholastic Journalism Week
The Journalism Education Association has set aside Feb. 19-25 to celebrate the benefits of scholastic journalism. Poynter's NewsU is joining the celebration with courses about the rights of journalists and the role of journalism in the media landscape. Here's a sampling:

Introduction to Journalism (J101)
The calendar says February, but we're already planning for next fall for our J101 project. J101 provides an overview of the basic skills and values of journalism and features live video teaching by Poynter faculty and adjuncts, as well as lessons drawn from more than two dozen self-directed modules on NewsU.
